one thing i've noticed over the course of building the directory is that sand drag operators don't seem to be in any hurry to make themselves visible on the internet. as such, if anyone can provide any good information on sand drags in their area, it' be a big help. i'm just starting on Pennsylvania, and there are a lot of sand drags listed in the state, but few of them have web sites, and few are turning up any information in google. this is consistent with what i found to be true as i swept across the south, southwest, and up through the pacific. i'd love to cover sand drags side by side with asphalt and concrete drags, but if i can't get the info, i can't do it.

In response to your request for information on sand drags, the newly formed Four Corners Sand Slingers association has been holding monthly sand drags for about four months and the attendance has increased with each event. Everyone is invited in the "run what you brung" style races. No cxost to enter and the only prizes at this point are bragging rights. However as this event grows and the association gathers more members, classes will evolve and prizes will be awarded to top runners with a championship to be held in the cinders in Flagstaff,AZ each spring. Any one in the area or otherwise intersted can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or just show up at the next event Oct. 7 @ 10:00 am in Aztec, NM 819 S. Main Ave. It's a great time.
