Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a 2.7 mile paved road course located on the Ile Notre-Dame, in the St. Lawrence River in Montreal, Quebec.
The circuit is primarly used for Formula 1, but Champ Car races have been held here.
The Grand Prix of Canada moved to this site in 1978. French Canadian hero Gilles Villeneuve won the first GP here. The circuit was renamed after him in 1982 shortly after his death.
