Historical Note

The track opened as a dirt oval in 1960. It was converted to a paved track for 1963, and switched back to dirt during the 1980 season.

The track has previously operated as Armadillo Competition Speedway, Big Country Speedway, Abilene Speedbowl and Abilene Motor Speedway.
