Historical Note

The track opened as a 1/3 mile paved oval on June 24th, 1961 under the name Mil-Ray Raceway, operating until 1978. The track reopened in 1979 as a 1/3 mile dirt oval. A 1/8 mile dragstrip operated from July 15th, 1962 through around 1972. A small dirt oval was used for slingshots in 2000.
