AHRMA sanctions a variety of vintage motorcycle racing events throughout the US. Events sanctioned include road racing, dirt flat track racing, motocross, and cross country. Motorcycles in competition range from models of the 1920s to models of the mid-70s.

AHRMA was formed in the mid-80s to provide a national sanctioning body for the growing vintage motorcycle racing community. It was reorganized in 1989 into a member owned Association.
