California Speedway is complex consisting of an 2 mile oval with 12 degree banking, several infield road course configurations, a 1/4 mile NHRA dragstrip, and a kart track operated by the Los Angeles Kart Club, located in Fontana, California. In addition to the permanent circuits, the parking lots are used extensively by the California Sports Car Club for SCCA Solo II competition.
The road courses consist of a 2.8 mile course for car racing (SCCA, Grand-Am, etc), a 2.36 mile course for motorcycle racing, and a 1.45 mile "interior" course apparently for driving school usage. The 2.8 and 2.36 mile courses use extended sections of the oval; the interior course does not use the oval at all.
The drag strip is operated under the name "California Dragway". Local drag racers sometimes refer to the drag facility as the "Fontana Drags", in reference to the old Fontana Drag City which operated about 2 miles away from 1955 to 1972.
The Calspeed Kart Track is a new venture for the speedway. It appears to have been built sometime in late 2004 and early 2005. web site. The track is too new to appear in any available aerial imagery of California Speedway.

California Speedway was built by Penske Motorsports on the site of the old Kaiser Steel site. The track opened in mid summer of 1997.
