














Delaware International Speedway is a 1/2 mile dirt oval located at the Delaware Motorsports Complex, which also includes US 13 Dragway and the US 13 Kart Club.

The original track on this site was the old Delmar Speedway (also operated as the Delmar Raceway). The original Delmar Speedway was a 1/2 mile dirt oval which operated from 1949 to 1953. That track appears to have been paved as of June 7th, 1953, and operated as a paved oval through 1958. It may briefly have run as a dirt track in the last part of 1958. There was also a 1/4 mile dirt oval which operated from March to May of 1953.
The modern 1/2 mile dirt oval dates from September 6th, 1956. A 1/6 mile dirt oval operated in 1965-1966, as did a 1/3 mile dirt figure 8 track. The modern track has also operated under the names US 13 Super Speedway and Delmar Speedway.
