Jungle Park Speedway

Jungle Park Speedway was an oddly shaped 1/2 mile oval with a mixed surface of dirt corners and paved straightaways. A 1/4 mile dirt oval was operated here for one year only. The track was located north of Rockville, Indiana near Turkey Run State Park.

Historical Note

Jungle Park opened July 5th, 1926, and operated until July 26th, 1942 when it shut down for WWII. It reopened September 23rd, 1945 and ran until about 1957. It was revived briefly in 1960. The quarter mile dirt oval was only run in 1960.
