Historical Note

Lawrenceburg Speedway opened in 1950 with Sunday afternoon jalopy racing. The track switched to modifieds on Saturday night in 1959, and brought in USAC midgets in 1961. Subsequently ARCA (and apparently WoO) also sanctioned races at Lawrenceburg.
