Windy Hollow Speedway

Windy Hollow Speedway is a 3/8 mile banked dirt D-shaped oval located near Owensboro, Kentucky. The track shares a site with Windy Hollow Dragway, a 1/8 mile dragstrip. There is a dirt figure 8 in the oval.

The complex consisting of the dragstrip and oval is sometimes refered to as Windy Hollow Raceway Park.

Historical Note

The dirt oval opened in 1975 (the adjacent dragstrip had been in operation for 4 years.) It did not operate in 1982-1985. A dirt figure 8 was added in October of 2002.

The track has also operated as Owensboro Raceway Park and GLV Raceway.
