The track opened for karting around 1986 as a 1/8 mile dirt oval. Cars ran on it in 1988. The 1/5 mile paved oval opened in 2001. Cars have operated in it intermittantly since then. The track has previously operated under the names Mid-Hudson Speedway and Dutchess Kartways.
