Wichita Speedway

Wichita Speedway is a complex consisting of a 1/4 mile paved oval, a 1/10 mile dirt karting oval, and an adjacent dragstrip which operates under the name Wichita Raceway Park. The complex is located near Iowa Park, Texas.

Stock car racing was discontinued in 2007; the facility is apparently available for other types of car shows, concerts, etc. The dragstrip continues to operate. The current state of kart racing is unknown.

Historical Note

The track opened on May 31st, 1974, operating through 1978. It reopened for one year in 1989, and reopened again from 1995 to 2007. The track has also operated as Red River Speedway and Pleasant Valley Speedway.
