Historical Note

The track opened on or around November 16th, 1958. It did not operate in 2001. It has also operated under the names West Virginia Motor Speedway, AJ's Speedway, Parkersburg Speedway, Parkersburg Motor Speedway, The Valley, and Smedley's Speedway. Brown suggests that this may be the former Wood County Fairgrounds.
