Approved Body Configuration (A-B-C) Body Guidelines for late model stock cars are produced by a consortium of manufacturers and series representatives.

History

The first meeting to discuss common configuration guidelines was in the Fall of 2002; the represented organizations were Five Star Racecar Bodies, Aluminum Racing Products, the Sunoco Super Series (now CRA Super Series and the Southern All Star Racing Series. In late 2003, the resulting A-B-C rules for 2004 bodies were announced. The A-B-C rules have since been widely adapted by Late Model sanctioning bodies.
